North Leeds Kitchen Extension

This project involved a kitchen extension and internal reconfiguration of a family home in North Leeds, creating a generous open-plan kitchen, dining and living space designed around modern family life.

Working in collaboration with the interior designer, the brief was to create a space that felt calm, practical and visually connected throughout, balancing clean contemporary detailing with the everyday functionality required for a busy family home.

The bespoke kitchen was carefully planned from the early stages of the project, with close attention given to layout, storage and proportion to ensure the finished space felt both highly functional and effortless to live in. Tailored cabinetry was designed to maximise storage while maintaining a clean, uncluttered appearance, helping the open-plan layout feel spacious and cohesive.

At the centre of the room, a large island creates a natural gathering point for cooking, dining and day-to-day family life, anchoring the wider living space while reinforcing the social nature of the extension.

Alongside the kitchen, a bespoke media unit was designed and crafted for the adjoining living area, introducing integrated storage and creating continuity in materials, detailing and overall aesthetic across the space. The result is a thoughtfully designed family home where each element feels connected and carefully resolved, combining practical modern living with timeless, understated design.
